DIVE DEEPER
You Are Part of Something Bigger
The Christian life was never meant to be lived in isolation. KOTC is only one small part of a much larger body of Christ—a Church that spans nations, cultures, centuries, and generations. There are countless Christians, ministries, missionaries, scholars, historians, and organizations faithfully serving Christ in ways that extend far beyond our own work. We want to help you discover them.
This page is a collection of resources that we believe can help you grow in your understanding of Scripture, Christian history, missions, the persecuted Church, and the responsibilities of following Christ in a broken world. Some resources are directly connected to our work. Others simply provide valuable perspectives, research, teaching, or historical material that we believe Christians should be familiar with.
Learn. Pray. Serve.
The resources linked on this page are provided for educational and informational purposes. KOTC does not necessarily represent, partner with, or endorse every organization, author, ministry, or perspective represented among these resources. We encourage visitors to examine sources carefully, compare perspectives, and ultimately test what they encounter against Scripture. External websites are independently operated and are subject to their own terms, policies, and content. Before we look outward at the world, we must first look upward to Christ.
The foundation of everything we do must be Scripture and a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ. Training, history, missions, service, and every other pursuit are secondary to knowing and following Him.
Faith & Scripture
-
The Bible
Read and study Scripture for yourself. No commentary, organization, personality, or ministry should replace the Word of God.
-
Bible Project
A valuable resource for understanding the overarching story of Scripture, biblical themes, individual books of the Bible, and how the different parts of Scripture point toward God's larger redemptive story.
-
Wes Huff
Wesley Huff is a Christian apologist and educator whose work focuses on biblical reliability, Christian apologetics, the historical Jesus, and responding thoughtfully to questions about Christianity. His teaching provides useful tools for Christians who want to better understand and defend what they believe.
Millions of our brothers and sisters in Christ live under circumstances that many of us in the West can scarcely imagine.
Persecution is not merely a historical subject. It is a present reality for Christians around the world.
Learning about the persecuted Church should lead us beyond statistics. It should lead us to pray, remember, give, encourage, and serve.
The Persecuted Church
-
Open Doors - World Watch List
Open Doors' annual World Watch List examines the countries where Christians face the most severe persecution and provides country profiles, research, stories, and ways to pray and support persecuted Christians.
-
Voice of the Martyrs
Voice of the Martyrs exists to remember and serve the persecuted Church. Their resources include persecution stories, information about persecuted Christians, and opportunities to become personally involved.
History & Christian Civilization
Understanding the present requires understanding the past.
The Church has endured persecution, war, political upheaval, cultural transformation, theological controversy, missionary expansion, and periods of extraordinary growth throughout its history.
We encourage Christians to study that history—not to romanticize the past, but to understand the people and events that shaped the world in which we live.
-
Raymond Ibrahim
Raymond Ibrahim is an author and historian whose work focuses heavily on the history of relations between Christianity and the Islamic world, Christian persecution, and the historical record surrounding conflicts between civilizations.
His work draws extensively from historical and Arabic sources and can provide a useful perspective for those seeking to understand the historical background behind contemporary events.
Note: KOTC recommends engaging with historical material critically and comparatively. No single author or commentator should be treated as the final authority on history. Examine sources, compare perspectives, and seek the truth.
KOTC Resources
Alongside the many voices and ministries serving Christ around the world, KOTC also produces resources from our own experience and perspective.
These materials are intended to encourage Christians to think deeply about faith, courage, service, sacrifice, and what it means to follow Christ in difficult places and circumstances.
Our resources are not a substitute for Scripture or the wider Christian tradition. They are offered as part of the broader conversation of the Church—sharing what we have learned, asking difficult questions, and encouraging others to grow in their faith and service to Christ.

The Theology of a Warrior
By Caleb Hamilton — Founder of KOTC
The Theology of a Warrior explores what it means to approach courage, conflict, sacrifice, discipline, service, and responsibility through a distinctly Christian worldview.
It is not intended to replace Scripture or established theological study. Rather, it is an attempt to wrestle with the difficult questions surrounding strength, suffering, duty, and faith from the perspective of a Christian who has experienced conflict firsthand.
Learn more about the book:
The resources listed here are only a starting point.
Read Scripture deeply. Study Christian history. Learn about the global Church. Listen to Christians who live under persecution. Study the lives of missionaries and saints who came before us. Learn from Christians who disagree with you. Test what you hear against the Word of God.
Above all, do not allow knowledge to become an end in itself.
Knowledge should produce wisdom.
Wisdom should produce obedience.
Obedience should produce service.
The goal is not simply to know more.
The goal is to know Christ more deeply and become more faithful in following Him.
“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forevermore! Amen.”
— 2 Peter 3:18, NIV
KOTC exists within the larger mission of Christ's Church. We invite you to explore, learn, pray, and find your own place in serving Him.
